Kato Polyclay

Kato Polyclay is the newest of the polymer clays, developed in 2001. It is available in 17 colors, including translucent and metallics.

Kato Polyclay Kato is firmer than Premo, but not as firm or crumbly as Fimo Classic is before conditioning. Like Fimo Classic, Kato Polyclay doesn't turn sticky with extended periods of handling. It is an ideal choice for detailed canework. Once cured, it is very strong and flexible.

Instructions

Cure at 275°F, 30 minutes per ¼ inch thickness

Availability

Kato Polyclay comes in 3-oz. blocks (compared to the typical 2-oz. packages of the other brands) and 12.5-oz. bricks.

Kato Polyclay is readily available in craft stores, such as the Hobby Lobby chain of stores. If not all colors are available in the store, they can be ordered on-line.
