This book is geared more toward those interested in hand-carving stamps than someone seeking polymer clay techniques or projects, but if you’d like to work in both media, it might be a good fit. The book introduces the materials and processes behind beautiful hand-carved stamps that can be used for anything from card-making and scrapbooking to texturing polymer clay. There are four projects involving polymer clay—one that covers stamped buttons, one about “chop” stamps made from clay, another that includes more small, button-like stamped bits of clay, and a final one that gives instructions for making stamped (and mica-powdered) Christmas tree ornaments. The projects themselves are not extraordinary, but the rest of the book could be very helpful for anyone new to the world of stamp-carving and interested in making his or her own unique stamps.
