This project book contains 25 bright, colorful projects. The book begins with a short history of polymer clay and a gallery of artwork. Following a brief introduction to polymer clay-related materials and equipment and a six-page section on basic techniques, the projects begin. These projects address such subjects as what to do with millefiori, covering objects with clay, working with armatures, including glass gemstones in polymer pieces, crackling metal leaf, applying metallic powders and more. There are a few projects for making jewelry, beads, and buttons, but the bulk focus on household objects—some of them (clock, egg cups, cutlery) are useful, while others (miniature theaters, dollhouse furnishings, mermaid sculpture) are purely decorative. The step-by-step projects are well illustrated with photos.
